According to scientists from Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 in France. Grass replaced forests, which made it hard for the ancient relative of modern-day chimps and gorillas to find food. Evidence of the spread of grass can be seen in wear marks on the teeth of antelopes that lived at the same time as the big European apes.
